District 29 Protocol List Spring 2020
“As you may know by now, Toastmasters International is asking all clubs and Toastmasters activities to be fully online. Pursuant to that instruction, District 29 will be holding online contests as well.
This is a new and novel way of conducting contests and there is a bit of a learning curve, especially if you have never used Zoom, the district’s chosen online meeting platform.
If you are planning to serve in the contests in any capacity, we have training scheduled during the next couple of days. No RSVP is necessary, just log in to the event.
The events are as follows:
Wednesday, March 18, 7 PM to 9 PM – Contest Judges and other functionaries training on how to use Zoom for contests
Thursday, March 19, 7 PM to PM – Contestant and Contest TM training on how to use Zoom for contests
Friday, March 20, 7 PM to 9 PM – Practice dry run for Area 61/64 Contest
Saturday, March 21, 8 AM – Area 61/64 Tall Tales and International Speech Contest (P.S. Different dial-in instructions will be sent out separately)
The meetings of Wednesday and Thursday will be recorded and posted online at our District web page.
We hope that you will take this opportunity to dial into these sessions and learn how to participate in the contests.
Please note that the actual dial-in instructions for the contest on Saturday will be different from these other ones.
