Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) provides a free training curriculum for all Toastmasters. The TLI will help you be a better Toastmaster in your Club as well as a better communicator and leader in all walks of your life. This also includes core training for Club Officers.

❖ PATHWAYS 101
Presented by Thomas Finley
This class will cover Pathways basics, i.e. online assessment, choosing the right path, exploring Base Camp, and working with Base Camp managers via an online demonstration and PowerPoint presentation.

❖ PATHWAYS FOR BASE CAMP MANAGERS
Presented by Cheryl Baker
This online demonstration session is geared to Club Presidents, Vice-President Educations and Secretaries and will cover Base Camp duties, including tracking members’ progress, as well as approving and submitting educational awards.

❖ FUNDAMENTALS OF PUBLIC SPEAKING
Presented by Leigh Ann Macklin
The Toastmasters mission is to “empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. This presentation will focus on helping you learn some of the fundamentals of an effective speech using materials that you can use in your clubs—the Better Speaking Series

❖ GOING BEYOND YOUR CLUB
Panel disccusion by Kim Choplin and Regina Faulkerson
Do you want to step outside your own club to help another club succeed? This session will explore what it takes to be an effective Club Coach and earn credit toward completing your Distinguished Toastmaster Award. In this session, you will learn how to overcome challenges, rebuild club membership and restore quality to the club environment, and ultimately help a club achieve recognition in the Distinguished Club Program.

❖ THE LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
Panel Discussion facilitated by Bettie St. Clair
What does leadership mean to you? What comes to mind when you hear the topic of discussion is going to be on leadership? This session will include the facilitator leading a panel discussion on being a leader in a volunteer organization. Bring your questions about leading, leadership in general, and how to help the leaders within District 29 and join the fun. This should be a forthright session on leading in out current environment.
